Creative Director Randy Higgins lead the design of a new 6,100 sf. flagship store for one of the nation's premiere retailers of luxury brand clothing. Mario's 310 was launched as a means to bring Mario's sense of permanent fashion to the luxury denim market. We intended, through our critical assessment of the brand concept, to create a multi-brand store that had the clarity of attitude of a mono-brand store. The result is a series of spaces defined by the specific user experiences and an aesthetic language that reinforces the experience. The store interior, like permanent fashion, attempts to transcend design trends by tailoring to human proportions and, as such, employs a series of historical and contemporary anthropometric systems. Like the clothes themselves, all building materials and colors were selected to accommodate and compliment the variety inherent in denim-based fashion.
